Medical Worker's Day 2012
We celebrate Medical Worker Day 2012 on June 17th .
The professional holiday of all physicians is held annually on the third Sunday of the first summer month.
In December 1965, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR established the Medical Worker's Day as an annual professional holiday.
Today is the day of the physician - a Russian holiday. However, some former Soviet republics traditionally celebrate Medical Worker's Day on the third Sunday of June. These are Ukraine and Belarus, Armenia and Moldova.
According to the established tradition, congratulations, words of gratitude, wishes of all the best to all those associated with medicine are heard on the holiday. First of all, of course, doctors, followed by nurses.
By the same tradition Medical Worker's Day 2012 will be awarded the honored physicians for professional achievements.
